This is the moment a young girl puts a tiny kitten into a toilet bowl and appears to try to flush the animal away while laughing mercilessly.
The incident was filmed in an unspecified location in Serbia where the video has been widely circulated, sparking outrage online.
In the clip, the unnamed girl, around 10 years old, is seen placing Sofia the kitten into the toilet bowl.
She is heard saying: “Come on Sofia, get in. Nothing will happen to you.”
The girl then closes the toilet lid and appears to press the flush, which does not work for some reason and the fluffy little kitten remains mostly dry.
She says: “Have you gone yet? Come on, get in. Let me sit for a bit, are you okay down there?”
The girl then appears to try the flush again before sitting on the toilet cover with the kitten trapped inside.
Netizens were outraged by the incident, apparently recorded by a parent or friend of the girl.
Netizen ‘Rom’ commented: “The police should act.”
‘ZM’ said: “I watch the footage, this is terrifying.”
‘IzPorodiceSveKrece’ wrote: “One child who is nicely growing up into a psychopath…”
It is unclear whether an investigation has been opened.
