This is the moment two Russian traffic cops are forced out of their patrol car by FSB agents and then detained on the ground for accepting a bribe.

The arrests were reportedly carried out by officers of the local police and the Federal Security Service in the district of Khorolskiy located in the far-eastern Russian region of Primorskiy Krai.

According to local media, the two traffic cops accepted a bribe of 15,000 RUB (179 GBP) from a motorist caught driving without a licence.

Reports said the local authorities are still continuing their investigation and will announce their findings once concluded.

If found guilty, the officers will lose their jobs as well as face punishment for accepting a bribe in accordance with Russian law.

In addition, their immediate supervisors are also likely to face punishment, according to local media.

Netizen ‘Aleksandr Fedorov’ said: “Why aren’t these agents going after corrupt people at the top? They could have done the same with oligarchs close to people in power. That would have been pretty remarkable!”

‘Ivan Vinogradov’ commented: “I feel this video has been recorded on purpose to create a negative image. This video is just too crazy and violent.”

‘Elvira Mukhametova’ wrote: “I feel sorry for them somehow…”
