This footage shows a corpse in a body bag left lying in a busy road after reportedly falling out of a hearse that can eventually be seen reversing back towards it after the driver apparently realised his cargo was missing.

The incident took place at the junctions of Rivadavia Avenue and Almirante Brown Avenue, in the city of San Antonio de Padua, in the Merlo Partido, in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires.

In the video, the body bag can be seen in the middle of the road as a man can be heard laughing and saying “the deceased fell”.

Onlookers can be seen surprised at the bizarre scene before the driver of the hearse begins reversing towards the corpse on a stretcher. He is then seen walking to the stretcher the body is on and he puts it back in the vehicle with the help of a police officer.

Local media report residents have repeatedly complained about the state of the road in that area but it is unclear why the body fell from the hearse.

‘Roxana Garay’ commented: “It looks like a comedy movie. I hope the poor family was not told how their relative was treated”.

‘Mary Medina’ said: “Thank God it was dead! What a lack of responsibility.”

It is unclear if the body was being taken to a funeral and it has not been identified in reports.
