Church Gazebo Sent Flying By Strong Winds At Packed Mass

This is the moment a huge gazebo covering a packed mass is sent flying by strong winds during a packed mass leaving four people hospitalised.

The incident took place at a Christmas Eve mass being held at the Santa Maria Texmelucan church located in the village of Santa Rita, in the municipality of Tlahualpan, in the central Mexican state of Puebla.

In the video recorded by CCTV cameras, the huge tent structure covering the can be seen being blown over by strong winds.

Some of the church officials and other churchgoers then rush to attend to any victims after the tent fell on the left-hand side of the screen.

Local media report four people, whose names and ages were not revealed, were injured and had to be taken to hospital.

There are no updates on their condition. It is unclear if the mass continued after the incident or of it was suspended.

Netizens widely commented on the incident, such as ‘Beyy73946954’ who said: “First of all the person who put the tent up should have used new ropes, secondly it was not fixed properly and thirdly, it was too big for the weight”.
