A Chinese woman has made these menacing armoured warriors and evil knights from the shells of lobster and other seafood.

Ms. Zhang from the city of Yingkou in the north-eastern Chinese province of Liaoning, bordering with North Korea, first came up with the idea of reproducing warrior characters while eating seafood with her family.

Ms. Zhang said that she has sculpted 10 models from the shells of mostly lobsters and crayfish.

The seafood model series include armoured warriors, evil knights and even fearsome monsters.

Ms. Zhang said that the time spent making each model can vary, depending on the character type.

She has made one character in around an hour while others have needed several days to complete.
