This is the moment an enormous wave engulfs one of two men standing on a pier and pulls him into the sea.
Luckily, the man was not swept away and managed to get ashore to the beach.
He was one of the two unnamed men who were standing on the pier and he was carried into the raging sea by a massive wave in Russia’s largest resort city of Sochi.
Footage of the moment was recorded by an onlooker and posted online yesterday (2nd December).
The video shows one man standing at the end of a pier and the other walking ashore. Suddenly, a giant wave appears and pulls the man walking to the shore into the sea. The man standing at the end of the pier manages to withstand the wave.
Fortunately, the man who was carried into the sea survived and even made it to the shore on his own. Luckily, the wave did not carry him far into the open sea, and the man was thankfully able to get to the side of the pier safe and sound.
The two men were reportedly standing on the pier to catch the waves caused by the strongest storm that has been observed on the Black Sea coast since 2012. At the time of reporting, the storm had been raging for the past few days and had also attracted extreme sports fans due to the massive waves it had caused.
It is unclear whether the man sustained any injuries.
