This cute little pooch has caused a stir on social media after being filmed repeatedly stealing teddy bears from the same shop.

The plundering pup was filmed raiding a store in the municipality of Coroados in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo on 26th and 30th March.

In the first ‘robbery’, the shop assistant was distracted when the dog coolly strutted out of the store with a teddy in its mouth.

In the footage, the dog is then seen chewing up the soft toy at the entrance before leaving it on the step.

Damaris Rodrigues, the owner of the children’s clothing store, said a friend came to the shop, saw the teddy bear on the step, and asked if it was hers.

Only when she saw the CCTV footage did she realise what had happened.

She added that she was ready for the pup if it came back for more toys, which it soon did just four days later.

This time, the vigilant shop owner was able to stop the dog before it left her store with another soft toy.

She said: “Because I viewed the security footage the first time and saw it was the dog, when it came into the shop this time, I was already prepared.”

According to the store owner, the dog is called Thor and is always walking around the area.

It is unclear if Thor has an owner or is a stray.

Damaris said that she decided to let the dog keep one of the toys, adding: “I’ve never seen anything like this and I never imagined I would find it so adorable after I went through it the first time, because it is not normal that shoplifting can be so cute!”

She added: “He is super forgiven.”
