This is the shocking moment a female caregiver kicks a 12-year-old disabled student in the face and then violently drags him across the floor.

The caregiver in the footage, Asli Gumus, 38, was arrested after CCTV footage showed her dragging a disabled boy by the arm across the floor at an unnamed school for children with learning disabilities in the district of Sultanhisar in the Turkish province of Aydin on 14th September.

After an anonymous tip-off about the alleged abuse in the school, the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services launched an investigation and reviewed the centre’s CCTV footage.

The investigation revealed the CCTV footage showing Gumus violently dragging the young boy by the arms.

The local news site Hurriyet reports that Gumus had previously been accused of being violent towards students.

The footage shows Gumus, sitting on a chair in front of a door with the disabled boy lying on the floor pinches her leg.

Gumus gets angry at the boy and appears to kick him in the face before grabbing his arms.

She then drags the disabled student into the middle of the room before letting him go and sitting back down as if nothing had happened.

Gumus made a statement regarding the incident after being taken into custody.

She said that she did not beat the boy and she was merely trying to lift him by the arms.

According to her, the marks on his face have nothing to do with her kicking him or pushing him face down into the floor.

The investigation is ongoing.
