This is the moment a driver gets taken out by a real-life road hog when a huge boar runs across a busy motorway in central China.

The luckless wild pig had been trying to cross the three-lane highway in Xiaogan, Hubei Province, on 3rd February.

The dashcam footage – recorded from a vehicle in the middle lane – shows vehicles driving along the busy motorway.

Suddenly the boar appears to shoot out of woodlands on the right and charges across the road.

But just seconds from getting to the safety of a central reservation, it is hit by a car and sent flying more than 100ft down the road.

A photo taken after the crash shows the impact was so great it smashed the front bumper and the car’s radiator, leaking coolant fluid all over the tarmac.

The wild boar can be seen lying motionless on the road, as the footage ends.

The video gained a lot of comments on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, where netizens expressed their worries because of the increased number of wild boars on highways.

Netizen ‘Tian Bo’ wrote: “I saw the traffic jam. The wild boar vomited blood and died!”

And ‘Do you believe in light?’ commented: “There were three wild boars on the highway yesterday.”
