Brazilian Barber Arrested For Stabbing Beautiful Ex Girlfriend To Death Infront Of Her Teen Daughter

This woman has been stabbed to death while sleeping alongside her teenage daughter when the woman’s estranged lover broke into their shared bedroom and stabbed her to death.

Jose Moreira Veloso, 33, a barber from Brazil, has been arrested on suspicion of fatally stabbing Paulyana Gomes de Lima, 37, whilst she was asleep in her house in the Brazilian municipality of Anapolis last Friday (3rd September).

Local new site g1 reports that Paulyana was asleep in her bed with her 15-year-old daughter, who was not named, when her ex-boyfriend walked into the bedroom with a kitchen knife.

Veloso then allegedly stabbed his sleeping ex-girlfriend 15 times to which her teenage daughter woke up, ran out of the room screaming and got the attention of the neighbours.

The emergency services and the police arrived shortly after only to find that Paulyana was already dead and her ex-boyfriend had fled the scene.

The suspect went on the run and was arrested the following day (4th September) by cops who found him hiding out in a forest near the victim’s home.

After being arrested he was identified by the victim’s daughter, 15, and has since confessed to committing femicide and apparently claims he is very sorry for what he did.

According to local media, Paulyana left Veloso about a month ago because he had repeatedly abused her both physically and emotionally.

Paulyana reported her ex to the police for domestic abuse and requested protective measures from the courts as she feared for her life.

It is not clear why authorities didn’t provide the victim with protection from her ex-boyfriend.

The suspect is currently detained whilst the investigation continues, if he is convicted of femicide he could face up to 30 years in prison.
