Sirin N. E. survived the fall, but was seriously injured after she jumped from a window to allegedly escape from her captors in the Turkish city of Antalya yesterday (2nd September).

In the footage, the young woman is seen dangling from the window and screaming for help while onlookers try to convince her to go back inside.

She reportedly ignored the advice of police officers out of fear of being locked in the apartment by her as-yet unidentified kidnappers.

After hitting the concrete, paramedics came to the victim’s aid and she muttered: “I was kidnapped. They kidnapped me and took me hostage, they came from Iran. They wanted to prostitute me.”

She added: “They tortured me. They forced me to have sex and filmed it, and then threatened me and my family. It would be better if I died.”

The teen was taken to hospital for treatment.

Sahin Iyidilli, one of the people who witnessed the incident, told Haberler: “I was sitting in the kitchen when I heard shouting outside. When I looked out the window, I heard her yelling ‘I want to die’.”

Another witness, Yilmaz Aktas, said: “We tried to convince her not to jump, but she wouldn’t listen. Officers arrived but I don’t think she believed they were police.”

He added: “I think she jumped out of fear. She said she had been tortured. She was asking for help.”

An investigation into the incident is ongoing and Sirin’s current health status is unknown.
