Two masked boys aged 10 and 14 have tried to rob a kiosk with a toy gun.
A witness who called the police said that the two masked children were walking around at Neubrandenburg train station, Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania state, Germany, on Thursday, 5th October.
Newsflash obtained a statement from Neubrandenburg Police on 5th October saying: “When the emergency services approached with the police siren on, both of them took off their masks and sat on a bench.
“They spontaneously told the police officers that the 10-year-old boy had the idea of robbing the train station kiosk.
“To do this, he persuaded his 14-year-old friend to support him in the robbery.
“The two suspects were taken to the station and picked up by guardians. Previously, during the search, the police found a toy gun and a knife on the ‘robbers’. “
The Neubrandenburg police said they have started an investigation into the incident.
On the same day, another similar incident happened in the town of Glauchau, according to local media.
A massive search operation was initiated after a witness claimed they saw a masked, armed man.
The operation ended four hours later when a twelve-year-old boy was found with a toy gun.
The police found that he pulled a cloth over his nose because he was cold, and when he knocked on the patio door of his parents’ home, the witness misinterpreted it as a break-in.
