This shocking video shows a teenage girl being shoved into the boot of a car before she was found dead in a reservoir in Brazil.
The footage shows a young man and a young woman bundling the teenager into the back of the vehicle in the presence of other young men.
A passer-by spotted her corpse in the Varzea das Flores reservoir in Contagem, Minas Gerais State, on the morning of 6th November and called police.
It was later identified as belonging to 17-year-old Larissa Estefane da Silva, who lived in nearby Betim.
Police said her body showed signs of violence and that marks in the sand on the shore of the reservoir indicated that she had been dragged into the water.
Local media noted that she had a tattoo of the number ‘171’ on her thigh, which refers to the crime of ‘estelionato’ – often translated as ’embezzlement’ or ‘fraudulent larceny’ – in the Brazilian Penal Code.
Larissa was buried in the municipal cemetery in nearby Juatuba on 7th November.
Civil Police are investigating her death as a murder but had not made any arrests at the time of reporting.
Larissa, who also had a tattoo across her upper chest and another next to her eye, often posted snaps of herself at clubs and parties to social media.
The investigation is ongoing.
