Not feeling so flush? Then this could be the perfect bijou apartment so small that you can cook your supper in the kitchen while you are on the loo.
The six-square-metre flat in Shanghai, eastern China, has been advertised for rent at a bargain CNY 380 (GBP 46)-per-month.
The pokey property used to be a storage unit until it was converted and put up for rent by an estate agent named only as Mr Li in local media.
In a promotional video shown on Douyin – China’s version of TikTok – one man is shown preparing a snack on the kitchen worktop while he squats on the lavatory.
The single bed is crammed between two walls and once any buyer has got out, they are just one step away from the combined kitchen, loo and shower.
The modest shower, though, is simply a sprinkler head on a hose leading from the kitchen sink.
It seems to have a washing machine under a worktop but the only place for anyone to sit is on the bed or the loo.
Li claimed the two-window flat is perfect for people who need “temporary shelter”.
But social media users have slammed his ‘all-inclusive’ apartment ad, with some calling it a “rat hole”.
User ‘I can run without electricity’ commented: “Living there will make you lose human dignity.”
And user ‘Fuwa Daidai’ said: “It is smaller than a cell in a high-security prison.”
