This is the moment a biker is sent hurtling in the air after reportedly riding through a red light and slamming into the front of a turning car.
According to local media, the motorcyclist jumped a red light at a busy crossing in the town of Seri Iskandar located in the north-western Malaysian state of Perak.
The dash-cam footage was posted on Facebook where it has been viewed by 185,000 netizens.
In the clip, the car driver is seen turning right at the intersection while the lights are green.
As the vehicle turns, a speeding motorcyclist approaches from the left-hand side and slams into the front of the car.
The biker is sent flying into the air and he lands several metres away in front of the car where he remains motionless.
Local media said the biker had been hospitalised, although there are no further updates on his condition.
One netizen said: “Please, just follow the traffic rules unless the road is totally clear. Be smart people.”
An online commentator wrote: “As a biker, I criticise the motorcyclist’s actions. It wasn’t the car driver’s fault. Does he think people should make way for him like he is a king?”
Another netizen commented: “The biker did not look like he was going to brake or flinch. He is probably the type of person to crash though. Probably think he is great because he avoided a crash the last time. Serves him right.”
