This is the moment a young girl hugs her dad’s leg while he plays badminton against her mum, forcing him to lift her in the air as he hits the shuttlecock back across the court and wins the match.

The mum was reportedly so stunned by his actions that she gave in and allowed him to win the point and match.

The footage was shot in the city of Jiaxing, in the Chinese province of Zhejiang.

In the video, the unnamed man can be seen playing badminton as his daughter obviously wants to hug and holds her father’s leg tightly.

The little girl does not want to let him go, so he lifts her up with one arm – leaving her dangling – while hitting the shuttlecock back across the court.

He can be seen putting her back down with a big smile on his face as the footage ends.

Local media reported that the father was playing against the child’s mum, who, after witnessing the scene, was reportedly stunned, allowing the father to win the point and the match.

The video garnered several comments on the social network Douyin, which is what TikTok is called in China.

Netizen ‘Birds and flowers, forget the love of water’ said: “As long as the child is unharmed, of course winning the shot is the most important.”
