This is the moment Real Madrid star Karim Benzema takes on the crossbar challenge and he hits the woodwork and impressive five times in just 11 seconds.

French striker Benzema, 31, was seen doing the crossbar challenge in a video from this past weekend as El Clasico against Barcelona scheduled for Saturday, October 26th was postponed due to security reasons after protests took place in Barcelona where the match was supposed to be held.

The video shows the moment the striker waits in anticipation as a person with him during the filming of the video counts down from three in French.

After starting he is seen striking the crossbar four times in a row in the first seven seconds alone. Benzema hits the crossbar one more time before the 11.11 seconds run out and salutes the camera.

The striker captioned the video: “Think you can beat me?”

Local media report the timer was set to 11.11 seconds as Benzema was working with clothing company 11:11 on the video.

The crossbar challenge refers to footballers aiming to hit the crossbar when they strike the ball.

Benzema is currently Real Madrid’s top goal scorer of the season and La Liga’s third with six goals. Real Madrid are set to face Leganes this Wednesday 30th October.
