A Singaporean baker has created this stunningly realistic cake based on a photo of The Bahamas.

Home baker ‘Bakelerie’ made the dessert and shared snaps on their social media accounts.

The cake features a green, mountainous island with golden beaches jutting out of the clear sea, resembling The Bahamas.

The rocky terrain appears very realistic with a jagged cliff face and tree-lined mountain peaks.

Bakelerie said that they wanted to reproduce a luxury island holiday on a cake and used a photo of the Bahamas as inspiration.

According to the news site Mothership, the outer layer is made of jelly while the inside is filled with rich chocolate.

The Singaporean bakery said that the cake has received plenty of attention online with many netizens praising its realistic design.

The six-inch cake is priced at 99 SGD (56 GBP) and orders need to be placed at least five days in advance.

The bakery added that they have been so inundated with orders that they are full until the end of November.
