Pic shows: Angela Magdici. Swiss police hunting a prison guard who helped a violent rapist to escape from jail say they appear to have vanished without trace. Cops know that Angela Magdici, 32, and the jailed Syrian rapist Hassan Kiko, 27, who she was supposed to be keeping watch over managed to escape when she used her key to open the door to his cell. She had been working on a night shift at Limmattal prison and vanished with him while her colleague was taking a nap. Security camera footage has confirmed that the car apparently containing the pair had crossed into Italy a short while later. The car, a black BMW X1, had been purchased by her Romanian husband Vasile Magdici, who she had cheated on to start an affair with Kiko. Zurich police spokesman Stefan Oberlin said: "We had a lot of leads, but none of them went anywhere and at the moment we are none the wiser as to where they are." The International search is going on, he said, but at the moment they were none the wiser as to the couple's location. Her stepfather Walter Minder said: "It is a difficult situation especially for my wife, who can't stop worrying about her daughter. We keep thinking about where she might be. We've heard reports that she might be in Syria or somewhere in an Arab country with him, and the other suggestion is that they are no longer together and she simply helped him to escape to wherever, with her going on to the Far East. "One thing is sure for me is that they are no longer in Italy. That is just too near to home and it's too easy for them to be caught there. I'm sure they have long since left Italy. "She is a really organised person who plans everything. If she has something in our head, then nothing and nobody will change your mind. As far as I can see everything was carefully planned in advance, although there was nothing that gave away to those that knew her what she was up to.
