These images show Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger about to ‘terminate’ this stunning T-800 robot dessert he received as a reward for “kicking off the ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ tour”.
The 72-year-old actor, bodybuilder and politician shared the photo on Instagram for his 18.2 million followers.
In the snap, ‘Arnie’ is seen posing with a stunning cake of the killer robot he first made famous in James Cameron’s ‘Terminator’ back in 1984.
The Austrian-American superstar returns in the role in the sixth instalment of the film series titled ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ due for release later this month.
He accompanied his social media snap with the message: “Kicked off the [‘Terminator: Dark Fate’] tour with a quick pump right when we landed. Now I’ve earned this beautiful dessert!”
The photo has been ‘liked’ over 400,000 times in the first day of publication.
The new Terminator movie will reportedly have its Los Angeles premiere on 28th October and is due for general release in the US from 1st November.
The cast and crew, which include Linda Hamilton and Schwarzenegger together again after appearing in the first two instalments, have been embarking on a tour to promote the film ahead of its release.
Last month, Schwarzenegger and his son Christopher were snapped wearing traditional Russian coats as the Hollywood actor celebrated his son’s 22nd birthday.
In the photo, the two Schwarzeneggers are seen standing in the snow while Arnie wears a thick fur coat and Christopher is dressed in the overcoat of a colonel of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
While Christopher keeps things local with a tradition fur hat, Arnie has opted for an American-style cowboy hat.
Schwarzenegger posted the photo with the message: “Happy birthday Christopher, you are such a jewel. I have loved every minute of watching you grow up, you make me so proud every day and I can’t wait to see what you become. I love you!”
Netizens had a lot to say about the wintery snap, with many noting that the father and son were dressed “like Russians”.
‘Alexsandr’ commented: “Congratulations. You look like Russian officials!”
‘Alexander Tyurin’ said: “You do not have any Babushka nesting dolls, vodka or balalaika’ (Russian stringed instrument).”
The photo also reminded netizens that Schwarzenegger played Russian Militia Captain Ivan Danko in the 1988 American action movie ‘Red Heat’ alongside Jim Belushi.
