Architect To Represent Turkey At Miss World In London

Beautiful brunette Simay Rasimoglu has been crowned Miss Turkey and will represent her country at the Miss World contest in London later this year.

The gorgeous 22-year-old, who graduated in architecture at the Uludag University in the north-western Turkish province of Bursa, said: “I am so happy and proud to have won. It will be an honour to represent my country at Miss World 2019.”

According to reports, 20 candidates battled it out for the prestigious crown, which often leads to TV work and even film roles in Turkey.

Legend of Turkish cinema Nebahat Cekhre won the contest in 1960 when she was just 15 years old.

Local media said that 23-year-old Bilgi Nur Aydogmush finished Miss Turkey 2019 runner-up while 20-year-old Bushra Turan came third.

The Miss Turkey pageant has been held in the Republic of Turkey since 1929 and last year’s winner was model Chevval Shahin.

Previous winners of the crown include Hulia Avshar, Jade Duvenji, Jansu Dere, Azra Akyn, Leyla Lidiya Tugutlu, Serenai Sarykaya, Amine Gyulshe and Dylan Cicek Deniz.

Miss World 2019 will be the 69th edition of the international pageant and will take place on 14th December at the ExCeL convention centre in London.

Last year’s winner, stunning Mexican Vanessa Ponce, will hand over her crown to her successor at the end of the event.
