Abducted Woman Calls Cops From Inside Ex-BFs Car Boot

A 29-year-old man has been arrested for kidnapping his ex-girlfriend after she rejected him bundling her into the boot of his car where she managed to call the police.

The incident took place in the city of Brest in south-western Belarus, on the border with Poland, when the suspect allegedly pushed his unnamed girlfriend into his Volkswagen Jetta and drove off.

According to local media, a neighbour saw the incident and called the police.

Meanwhile, the victim had her phone with her in the boot of the car and managed to call the emergency services.

She explained the situation to the authorities, but she did not know which direction the car was travelling.

However, she was able to provide the emergency services with the driver’s personal details and licence plate.

Reports said that the police set up several control points to intercept the suspect’s vehicle, and he was eventually stopped in the village of Busni near Zhabinka.

The cops arrested a 29-year-old man identified as Evgen Konovalchuk while a 21-year-old woman named Lisa Smekhovich was discovered in the boot, according to reports.

She told the police that the suspect hit her over the head with a baseball bat before bundling her in the boot.

The victim is receiving treatment in hospital while Konovalchuk remains under police custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
