This is the moment a smiling family fire their gun from their balcony high up in a block of flats in a crowded residential area.
The video has been widely shared on social media and was recorded in the neighbourhood of Bochalema in the city of Cali in the department of Valle de Cauca in western Colombia.
The footage shows the on the balcony as a man loads the gun and hands it to an unnamed woman. The woman then fires the gun into the air ahead of her, aiming above the block of flats opposite her.
After firing the pistol, the family sing along to the song ‘Cuestion Olvidada’ (Forgotten Affair) by popular Colombian singer Charrito Negro.
According to local media, the video was recorded this Monday.
Reports said the local police went to the flat and fined the people responsible after they were called by scared neighbours.
A spokesperson of the local police told local media: “The police unit could not go into the house because it was a private flat but they fined the people responsible.
“After that, the footage of the shooting was shared, but we cannot confirm if it is a real gun or if they were firing blanks as they are very similar.”
According to local neighbours, the noise from the family continued in the morning.
The police are investigating the case and have summoned the family members to ask them about the incident and the gun.
