This helmet camera footage shows a speeding biker overtaking several other motorcycles on a tight bend before crashing into the barrier and flying over it.

The incident was filmed by the biker’s helmet cam in the province of Bursa in the north-western Turkish region of Marmara and posted online.

In the footage, the biker is seen weaving past three other motorcyclists on a tight right-hand bend.

As the road snakes sharply to the left, the biker loses control and crashes into the barrier at high speed. The footage shows how the driver falls over the barrier and onto a grass verge.

According to local media, the unnamed motorcyclist was taking part in a tour with other bikers.

After the man crashed into the barrier, he was rushed to hospital with minor injuries and is still receiving treatment.

The motorcyclist was wearing his helmet and full protective gear which protected him from suffering worse injuries, according to local media.

Meanwhile, netizen ‘Nisa Nur’ commented: “Why are you riding so fast? Do you want to die?”

‘Chendo Keynes’ said: “The safest way to ride is to go slow. There is no need to go so fast and risk your life and those of other road users.”

‘Sinan Altin’ wrote: “There are professional circuits for this, go and join a racing club. Don’t do this on public roads!”
