Meanwhile, his dad went to run errands and left the kid behind. It is believed that the child was left inside the car around 9 am, and a few hours later, around 1 pm, passersby spotted him in the back seat of the car and broke the window.

When they took the boy out of the car they found him that he was unconscious but still alive.

The child was taken to the private hospital of Magallanes, where he passed away.

It is reported that the boy died from suffocation but it has not yet been officially confirmed.

The body of the child was taken by the authorities to undergo an autopsy.

The car has been seized by general prosecution. It has not been reported whether the parents have been arrested.

The investigation is ongoing. Temperatures are averaging just over 30 degrees Celsius in Acapulco this week.
