This is the adorable moment when a posh pedigree puss simply refuses to be put out in the cold.

The British shorthair’s owner had grown tired of the young cat’s antics and wanted to teach it a lesson by putting it outside the front door for a while in the city of Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, China.

But in a hilarious clip – recorded on 20th November – the cat fights tooth and claw to stay in by hanging onto the doorframe.

As the owner tries to lead it outside, the puss gets up on its back legs and holds tightly onto the door frame with its right front paw and refuses to let go.

After several attempts, the owner gives up and simply puts the cat down on the doormat, only to watch it scoot back inside.

The cat’s stubbornness appears to have softened the owner’s heart who cannot help but laugh and give up on the punishment.

The video was later shared on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.

Netizens revealed they almost died laughing while watching the head-strong moggy and how it stood up grabbing the door like a little child.
