Young Woman Stabbed To Death By Her Half Sister Who Streamed The Brutal Murder Live On Instagram

A young woman has been stabbed to death, allegedly by her half-sister, who streamed the brutal murder live on Instagram.

The victim has been named in local media reports as Anouk den Dekker, 20, and her alleged murderer has only been named, due to strict local privacy laws, as her half-sister, Bouchra D., 21.

Anouk is said to have fled to her neighbour’s house during the stabbing, which took place in the Dutch city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch on the evening of Saturday, 23rd October, according to local media outlet Omroep Brabant.

She was reportedly repeatedly stabbed by the suspect, who was arrested immediately afterwards with what appeared to be blood on her hands.

The emergency services went to the scene but they were too late to help Anouk, who died that night.

The killing was reportedly live-streamed on Instagram, with the grim video footage and a screenshot showing the victim’s dead body reportedly circulating on social media.

The victim’s relatives have urged people to stop sharing the footage and to avoid feeding rumours and assumptions “out of respect for and in the interest of Anouk and out of respect for everyone affected by this terrible tragedy”.

The suspect has been been admitted to the psychiatric ward of the Zaanstad Penitentiary where she is being held and she is expected to appear before a judge this week.
