This is the amazing moment a young woman falls 90 foot down the side of a Russian tower block and gets up and walks away after landing in a pile of snow.

CCTV footage taken from over the road shows the body of the young woman, reportedly 27 years old, somersaulting several times as she takes three seconds to fall to the ground from the ninth floor apartment.

The incident happened in the town of Izluchinsk which is in Nizhnevartovsky District in central Russia’s Khanty-Mansi Okrug with the snow at the bottom piled up by road sweepers that had been clearing the nearby road.

It was also reported that she had thick winter clothing on at the time that further softened the blow.

After landing, it appears as if she might have been significantly hurt but then she confounds watchers by first of all sitting up, and then getting up to walk away.

A short while later she reportedly contacted a neighbour and asked them to call an ambulance and is currently hospitalised.

Medics say they are keeping her in for observation after noting that apart from some internal bruising, she had suffered no broken bones or any more serious injuries as a result of the accident.

It is unclear how the woman who was alone at the time managed to fall from the ninth floor and police are investigating.

It is not believed that there is a suspicious motive, although it was icy at the time because it was -14.

A spokesman indicated that the snow which had been heaped to the side that she landed on had also recently been added to by a fresh fall which further cushioned the blow.
