Nancy Mabhina, 53, was killed in the township of Seshego in the South African province of Limpopo when two men arrived at her home at around 2am on 15th April.

Violet Mabhina, 27, promised to pay ZAR 100, 000 (GBP 5,024) to the 24-year-old Brian Ndlovu and 27-year-old Wilmington Shumbayaonda, to kill her mother over family issues.

Violet let the two suspects inside, setting the scene to appear like a burglary, then showed them to her mother’s room where she had fallen asleep before returning to her bedroom.

The two suspects killed the woman, stabbing her multiple times using a knife, before stealing her mobile phone and fleeing the scene.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said: “The police opened a case of murder and investigations commenced which involved a manhunt for the suspects.”
