This video which has caused outrage online shows a group of white men, two of whom were arrested for allegedly assaulting two teenagers at a swimming pool.

The video was filmed at the Maselspoort Resort And Conference Centre outside Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa on Christmas Day and went viral with 3.8 million views when it was shared on social media.

It allegedly shows one of the white men slapping the 13-year-old who is then thrown back into the pool when he tries to get up.

The man is also seen apparently trying to choke the 18-year-old.

The boys’ father, named as Brian Nakeng, said the white men did not want the boys swimming in the pool.

He added that when they told them they were also staying at the resort, it did not make any difference and other people had joined in, shouting that they should not be there.

Twitter user ‘Tumii_Frost’, who is reportedly the sister of the boys, said that her family wants to spend the day there to relax for Christmas and that her brothers, aged 13 and 18 “were attacked by these grown men because they are apparently not allowed in the pool as it’s reserved for the ‘white people’ here”.

She said that when she complained to management, they said that she was overreacting and denied that the incident was racially motivated.

A criminal complaint had been registered with Glen Police also confirmed that they were investigating assault charges.
