This is the moment a man falls into a garage inspection pit as he returns from the loo during a night’s heavy drinking.

The man – named Mr Huang in local media – said he slipped at a friend’s auto repair shop in Tangshan, Hebei Province, northern China, on 12th November.

The friends reportedly stayed behind after hours to have a few drinks, but the get-together was cut short when Huang accidentally made his way into the pit.

CCTV footage shows the moment Huang, who was returning from the lavatory, mistakenly walks straight into the pit, used to check under cars.

But because a rainstorm had filled up the hole, Huang ends up completely soaked from head to toe.

He shared the video on Douyin – the Chinese version of TikTok – where netizens could not help but laugh at the unexpected way Mr Huang completely sobered up.

User ‘.=.=.’ jokingly commented: “This unlucky guy probably won’t drink for a few months.”

Another user, ‘luck’, wrote: “It is a rural custom that if you fall into a pit, you have to eat rice from a hundred families. Go to 100 houses to beg for rice, and the other party can only grab the rice by using your hands to give it to you.”
