This dramatic footage shows a large town road being overrun by an oncoming flooded river following severe storms that hit the area.

Newsflash obtained the footage from the Cottonwood Arizona Police Department, along with a statement according to which the flooding took place in the city of Arizona, in the USA.

The residential area was reportedly flooded by intense rainfall on Monday, 3rd October.

In the footage, the street of Brook Hollow Drive can be seen being overtaken by the raging overflowing waters of what appears to be the Verde River.

The National Weather Service had issued a flash flood Warning for parts of Arizona that were in full effect for the rest of the day.
