He was reportedly supporting a leaning stack of heavy boards with two colleagues when the weight overpowered them and they collapsed on top of the young worker, smashing his head.

In the footage, the workmen are seen supporting dozens of large boards placed near a warehouse wall.

The teetering stack falls forwards and the two workmen at either side manage to jump clear, however Villaroel Gutierrez, standing in the middle, fails to get out of the way.

His colleagues are seen trying to help him as the heavy stack of melamine boards presses down on the victim.

According to local media, the 25-year-old dad died from head injuries while his two colleagues also suffered unspecified injuries.

The police arrived at the warehouse to start their investigation into the worker’s death.

The Martin warehouse reportedly stores furniture and DIY materials.

The police investigation is ongoing.
