Ukrainian Kamikaze Drones Take Out Russian Soldiers On Frontlines

These images show Ukrainian kamikaze drones taking out Russian soldiers on the frontlines near Avdiivka as they attempt to shoot them down.

The footage shows the group of Russian soldiers opening fire with their assault rifles and shooting at the Ukrainian kamikaze drones before being hit by them.

The images were obtained from the 110th Air Strike Company of the 110th Mechanised Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Thursday, 22nd February, along with a statement saying: “For those who don’t know the 110th Air Strike Company is always around, we are looking along with the 110th Mechanised Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces so we advise you to watch and run like Usain Bolt while you have the chance.”

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February 2022 and 22nd February 2024, Russia had lost approximately 407,240 personnel, 6,523 tanks, 12,373 armoured combat vehicles, 9,867 artillery units, 997 multiple launch rocket systems, 680 air defence systems, 339 warplanes, 325 helicopters, 7,596 drones, 1,903 cruise missiles, 25 warships, 1 submarine, 12,924 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 1,566 units of special equipment.

Western officials have said, two years into the war, that Russian President Vladimir Putin is still committed to defeating and dominating Ukraine, which has caused over half a million casualties.

But they believe that he does not have a clear medium-term strategy. Sanctions have significantly impacted Russia’s military, causing delays and higher costs due to shortages of Western components.

The European Union has approved its 13th package of sanctions against Russia, adding nearly 200 entities and individuals to the sanctions list. The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said the sanctions will further cut off Russia’s access to drones, with the goal being to degrade Putin’s war machine.

Iran has reportedly provided Russia with a significant number of surface-to-surface ballistic missiles. Both Iran’s defence ministry and the Revolutionary Guards have declined to comment on the report, while Russia’s defence ministry has not yet responded to requests for comment.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has said that he believes the most fitting tribute to Alexei Navalny is to prevent a Russian victory in Ukraine.

Von der Leyen has stated that she will not collaborate with individuals aligned with Putin in the upcoming EU parliament. She said that she intends to work with those who uphold European values against Putin’s allies.

Ukraine’s army has refuted claims of losing Krynky, their position on the Russian-held side of the Dnipro river. They said that they were repelling Russian assaults, with significant losses on the Russian side.

We have not been able to independently verify the claim.

Russia’s Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has reportedly informed Putin of Krynky’s purported capture by Russian forces.
