These images show Ukrainian drones tracking down Russian soldiers hiding in foxholes and trenches and dropping bombs on them on the frontlines.

The footage shows the Russian positions being hit by the Ukrainian ordnance.

The images were obtained from the 23rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On Friday, 26th January, along with a statement saying: “The work of a company of strike unmanned aircraft systems. There will be no rescue for any occupier.”

The images and statement were also relayed by Operational Command ‘East’ of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and by the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

While Ukrainian officials have not expressly denied shooting down the aircraft, they could not confirm that POWs were on board the aircraft.

Ukraine’s human rights commissioner, Dmytro Lubinets, said that a passenger list which has been shared in Russian media supposedly detailing the names of the Ukrainian prisoners of war had discrepancies in it.

He said: “We found Ukrainian citizens in the list who have already been previously exchanged.”
