Two-Year-Old Girl Found Dead After Family Nanny Snatched Her

This is the chilling moment a nanny kidnapped a two-year-old girl she looked after for ransom shortly before the tot was found dead in a fish pond.

Ruthless Giap Thi Huyen Trang is seen on CCTV footage collecting the tot from her nursery school in Vietnam’s capital Hanoi on 19th September.

After setting the girl on her scooter, she raced off into traffic before cold-bloodedly calling the toddler’s parents to demand a VND 1.50 billion (GBP 50,000) ransom.

The terrified family, according to local media, immediately sent Trang VND 350 million (GBP 11,725) but never saw their daughter alive again.

The girl was found dead in a pond eight miles away in Hung Yen Province.

The pond owner, Nguyen Van Thanh, 69, told the police that he saw a woman carrying the tot on her bike on the afternoon she was snatched.

Hanoi’s city police say Trang had worked for the family for just a month before the killing and is now on the run.

The investigation is ongoing.
