TWO MUCH: Lottery Fan Scoops GBP 1 Million In Two Years

A lucky woman has scooped more than GBP 300,000 after winning a six-figure sum in the lottery for a second time in just two years.

Organisers say she won a total of more than GBP 1 million with her astonishing run of luck.

Barbara Gullatt – from Raleigh, North Carolina, USA – won a whopping USD 368,522 (GBP 322,000) on a USD-1 Cash 5 ticket.

This was after she snapped up USD 824,160 (GBP 721,000) on the same game in March last year.

After tax, she took home USD 261,688 (GBP 229,000) from her latest win.

In a statement obtained by Newsflash, the North Carolina Education Lottery said: “Barbara Gullatt of Raleigh took a chance on a $1 Cash 5 ticket and won a $368,522 jackpot.

“Gullatt won her first $824,160 Cash 5 jackpot in March of 2021.

“She purchased her lucky ticket for Sunday’s drawing from Fuel Stop on Little Brier Creek Lane in Raleigh. She arrived at lottery headquarters Monday to collect her prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $261,688.”
