Top Ukrainian Commander Says His Troops Took Out Russian Cruise Missile With American Browning Machine Gun

A top Ukrainian commander has said that his troops took out a Russian cruise missile using an American Browning machine gun.

The footage, shot at night, shows a Ukrainian soldier opening fire with what appears to be a mounted heavy machine-gun.

The soldier can be seen firing into the night sky, apparently at incoming Russian missiles.

The soldier appears to hit one of the Russian weapons as the footage ends.

The images were obtained from Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev, the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Tuesday, 23rd January, along with a statement saying: “In the Northern operational area, mobile fire groups managed to destroy several enemy cruise missiles.

“One of them was destroyed by a Browning machine gun. Together we will win!”

Dan Crenshaw, a moderate Republican congressman, has criticised MAGA Republicans for their unwillingness to work with US President Joe Biden on border security and Ukraine aid.

Crenshaw said that some Republicans are saying “we’ll never vote for it if it’s attached to Ukraine aid. Really? We get meaningful border policy with the Ukraine aid and you’re not going to vote for that?

“You want Russia to win more than you want border policy changes? Some people say Biden wants it now because it’s helpful to him politically? OK! I want border security, that’s what I told my constituents I would do for them. So if we can get that deal, that’s a no-brainer.”
