This footage shows the incredible moment three military leaders, who had met up for a mid-air get-together, conduct a formation flight in preparation for a flight exercise.

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) announced they had the honour of hosting a formation flight with Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz, Chief of the German Air Force, General Kenneth Wilsbach, Commander, US Pacific Air Forces and our own Chief of Air Force, Air Marshal Rob Chipman, on September 5th, 2022.
The pilots flew together at Exercise Pitch Black for the very first time.
Exercise Pitch Black 2022 is the Royal Australian Air Force’s most significant International Engagement activity with forces participating from a wide range of partner and allied nations developing and enhancing military relationships at all levels.
