A bodybuilder who killed the mother of his baby has told police how he throttled her with an electric flex and then threw her body off her apartment balcony.

The killer – named only as 22-year-old Marcel K. in media in Germany under local privacy laws – confessed to murdering his ex after a series of jealous rows.

The body of 24-year-old victim Sabrina P. – who had a four-month-old baby with her killer – was only found after police botched a first search for her.

Her family had called police after being unable to contact her since 13th January but officers failed to find her body during their search of her apartment.

It was only after police returned to the flat on 17th January that they found her body under the balcony in Stockach, Baden-Wurttemberg state.

A police spokesman said: “The place where the body was found was difficult to reach and had to be recovered using a ladder from the local fire service.”

An unnamed friend of the suspect told local media: “Marcel was quite balanced before. However, when he lost control of the relationship, he became impulsive.

“During our time in the group home, he also drank a lot of alcohol.”

After being told of her death, Sabrina’s devastated mother posted a message, saying: “Rest in peace my dear child. You will always remain in my heart.”

Sabrina leaves behind her two children, one aged four months and another aged five by a different partner.
