Thief Robs Gas Station Wearing Giant Cardboard Box Mask

This is the moment a thief robs a gas station with a giant cardboard box on his head.

The incident happened in the Spanish city of Burgos on the night of Thursday, 23rd November.

The CCTV footage shows the two women employees talking behind the cashier’s desk as the thief enters the station and approaches them, seemingly threatening them.

He can be seen wearing a fanny pack in his hands while threatening the employees, which local media say was a gun.

However, more shocking is the DIY mask he was wearing to cover his face, made of a large cardboard box.

But the makeshift disguise had a hole in the top that allowed a ceiling-mounted CCTV camera to film his face directly.

He is then seen forcing his way through the personnel, stealing items from the cashier’s desk before leaving the gas station.

According to reports, he stole EUR 500 (GBP 430) in cash from the gas station.

The police quickly found the suspect, identified only by his initials J.M.R. and arrested him for the crime of robbery with intimidation.
