A British tourist has had to cancel his wedding after getting arrested in Majorca for his boozy wildman antics on his stag do.

Like something from the film series ‘The Hangover’, the British tourist, name not disclosed, was detained in the Spanish island of Majorca for the all-night binge that ended with him driving a rented motorbike into the sea.

According to the news site Ultima Hora, a local judge took away the rowdy Brit’s passport and he was unable to fly home for his wedding the following day.

The groom-to-be was celebrating his stag do in the popular resort of Magaluf in Majorca with pals when they hired motorbikes for the day.

At some point during their celebrations in Magaluf, the Brit drove his rented motorbike into the sea resulting in the Spanish Civil Guard feeling his collar.

A judge confiscated the tourist’s passport so he could not leave Majorca and issued a EUR-6,000 bond for his release.

As the Brit was getting married in the UK the following day, he reportedly tried to get the money sent over, but bank transfers have been taking longer than normal after Brexit and the cash did not arrive in time, according to Ultima Hora.

As a result, the boozed Brit had to cancel his wedding and stay behind in Majorca.

It is unclear if his pals flew home without him and what his fiancee thinks of his costly antics.
