Tommy E. Morgan, 32, from the US state of Georgia, fled away after he hijacked the police vehicle while his hands were cuffed behind his back on Friday, 9th December.

Morgan reportedly evaded deputies after he managed to somehow move his hands in the front and forced his way through the partition inside the car.

The deputy in charge was reportedly outside his patrol vehicle when Morgan escaped.

A spokesperson from the Dade County Sheriff’s Office claimed that the 32-year-old man struck another patrol vehicle as he was driving away.

They later found the patrol vehicle abandoned in a ditch about a mile away from where he stole it, where they attempted to track him with a police dog.

But their efforts were reportedly unsuccessful.

Dade County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: “If you know the whereabouts of this subject, please contact your local law enforcement, DCSO (706-657-3233), message this page, or email info@dadesheriff.com.”

It is unknown on what charges Morgan had been initially arrested, but he is now wanted for escape, motor-vehicle theft and interference with government property.
