Iraqi cops have arrested two teenagers for raping and killing this eight-year-old boy who was found covered in blood with a rock on his head in a mosque.

Shahin Wisam, 8, was found dead in a mosque bathroom in the town of Zummar in northern Iraq’s Nineveh Governorate and a shocking image shows the boy’s on the floor under a large rock with blood lining the room.

The local police have now announced the arrest of two teenagers in the case, with both suspects reportedly confessing to having lured the youngster to the mosque which was deserted in Iraq’s coronavirus lockdown.

The suspects reportedly confessed to having “taken turns” raping the victim before killing him with a rock.

Some reports state one of the suspects was the victim’s cousin while the other was his neighbour.

The case has sparked outrage, especially as the incident took place in the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

‘amo3379’ wrote: “They should be executed for what they have done in this holy month.”

It is unclear if the suspects have been charged.
