Mexican cops have seized this gold-plated AR-15 assault rifle covered in what appear to be diamonds from a gang of killers known as ‘The Women With Moustaches’ (Las Bigotonas).

Little is known about the killer cartel which according to cops is a criminal gang located in the city of Tehuacan in the central Mexican state of Puebla.

However, women criminals are a growing phenomenon in Mexico.

Earlier this year cops shot and killed the pretty 21-year-old leader of a notorious Mexican cartel who had previously posted pictures of herself also with a golden assault rifle.

Maria Guadalupe Lopez Esquivel, alias ‘La Catrina’, was suspected of being one of the leading figures of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, and was well known for showing off her curves and dangerous weapons in social media snaps.

She was allegedly responsible for managing a team of cartel hitmen and was killed after being shot in the neck during a police raid in the municipality of Aguililla on 10th of January.

In the latest seizure cops targeted the bizarrely named ‘The Women With Moustaches’ gang, and arrested Victor Ivan N, alias El Yori, who is the alleged boss of the gang.

Arresting officers also allegedly found 38 doses of crystal meth during the arrest along with the gold and fake diamond plated AR-15, a lightweight semi-automatic rifle.

Officers also found 20 cartridges for the weapon during the arrest. Cops say the suspect is responsible for organising robbery, drug smuggling, weapons trafficking and is also linked in with several homicide cases.

Netizens were quick to comment on the police operation by focusing on the gun, with ‘Arturo Zurdo’ who said: “Omg, it looks like a weapon from Call of Duty.”

‘Juan Tamayo’ added: “This weapon should be auctioned, and please let me know the date, cool weapon.”

‘J Luis Valencia’ commented: “I am a collector, do you know if that weapon will be sold or will it be kept in storage?”

It is unclear if the suspect has been charged yet.
