This tattooed young woman has reportedly slashed her boyfriend in the chest and neck with a knife during a drunken row.

The incident took place at the suspect’s house in the town of Kudrovo in the north-western Russian region of Leningrad Oblast.

According to the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, the suspect, identified by her first name Irina, invited her 24-year-old boyfriend Ivan to her home where they enjoyed drinks together.

However, an argument later broke out and at some point Irina reportedly grabbed a kitchen knife.

Komsomolskaya Pravda said the suspect allegedly slashed Ivan across his chest and neck.

Although it is unclear who called the emergency services, an ambulance promptly arrived at the scene and paramedics managed to help the young man and take him to hospital.

According to a police statement obtained by Real Press, the victim is currently in intensive care in hospital.

The police added that the suspect has been detained and a criminal case has been launched for attempted murder.

An unnamed ex-boyfriend of Irina’s told Komsomolskaya Pravda that he never noticed anything about her to suggest she was capable of such a violent act, adding: “Most probably, Ivan offended her by saying something very strong.”

Based on Irina’s page on the Russian social network VK, she is a fan of piercings and body ink, and she boasts one tattoo on her face that says “the cherry on this whole cake”.

The investigation is ongoing.
