The man and the little boy, both unnamed, were reportedly tourists who were riding on the rented jet ski on a sunny summer day. Footage shows them coming closer to the boat where an onlooker believed to be the boy's mother was recording the scene. The boy was driving the jet ski himself and waving, while the adult man was sitting behind. The explosion sent both of the tourists flying into the air before landing in the water. While the boy was wearing a safety vest, the man accompanying him did not have one. Local media report that both of the men have been hospitalised and are currently in intensive care. The rented jet ski has a malfunctioned engine, which likely caused the explosion according to investigators. Netizen ‘siyanov.v’ said: "How come things like that happen? Because of the overheating?"
