Suspect Arrested For Sexual Assault After UK Cops Release Ridiculous Viral E-Fit To Find Him

A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after a ridiculous e-fit released by UK cops of a fedora-wearing ‘alien frog’ suspect went viral.

The cops released the bizarre e-fit showing the man with unusually large eyes after a female dog walker was grabbed in an open meadow near Woolley Firs in Maidenhead on 14th August.

The e-fit then went viral and made international headlines.

Newsflash obtained a statement from the Thames Valley Police on 2nd October saying: “Thames Valley Police is releasing an e-fit depicting a man in connection with a sexual assault in Maidenhead.

“The incident occurred at around 5.45pm on 14 August on a footpath in an open meadow close to Woolley Firs and Cherry Garden Lane.

“The victim was walking her dog when she saw an offender crouched in the overgrowth along the path.

“The victim felt uneasy and continued to walk towards a wooden gate. When she got to the gate, she looked behind to see the offender walking towards her.

“The victim shouted at the offender and they grabbed her jumper and tried lifting it up, causing the victim to scream. The offender then made off in the other direction.”

The statement quoted investigating officer Detective Constable Peter Fitzer of the CID team based at Maidenhead police station as saying: “I am releasing this e-fit image in the hope that someone recognises the man depicted.

“‘If you recognise the man pictured or have any information that could help with our investigation, make a report online or call 101, quoting reference number 43230363229.

“’Alternatively, for 100 per cent anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

Netizens trolled the police saying the suspect in the e-fit looked like an ‘alien crazy frog man’ and that if that is really what he looked like, he would not stand a chance of blending in.

And it appears to have paid off, with a spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police saying that an unnamed 46-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.

She said: “Following the e-fit being published a number of people have come forward with information and this is being assessed.”

The spokeswoman added that the police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
