This is the moment a helicopter takes off from the university grounds after reportedly being sent by a forgetful student’s parents to deliver the bag he left at home.

The incident was filmed at the Vaal Triangle Campus at North-West University located in the city of Vanderbijlpark in the northern South African province of Gauteng.

The footage was shared on Twitter by netizen ‘Ituh Mokhele’ where it has been viewed nearly 100,000 times.

The widely-circulated clip was accompanied with the message: “Some guy forgot his bag at home and parents decided to bring the bag with a chopper at NWU.”

In the footage, a student is seen walking towards a helicopter in a car park.

He is then passed a bag by the pilot before walking back through the car park to class.

Meanwhile, impressed students are heard screaming when the helicopter takes off.

One student even asks: “Who is this guy?”

University spokesperson Willie du Plessis said: “After watching the video I can confirm that the landing was on NWU’s campus in Vanderbijlpark.

“It was in an area in front of the student centre adjacent to the construction site of our new administration building.

“At this stage, we don’t have any other information.”

Netizen ‘Samu’ commented: “Love this…. the problems I want my kids to have.”

‘iSbusiso SoMhlaba’ said: “Only rich kids forget their bags at home. When you are broke, you pack those books the day before so that you forget nothing.”
