This is the moment a Russian street racer flies over a bridge at a blistering speed of 200 kph (124 mph) and sends sparks flying as the car’s chassis hits the road.

Sergei Polev, 26, known to Russian media as ‘Ghost Rider’, was arrested after a journalist recognised him in one of the videos circulating online and reported it to the authorities.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation of Saint Petersburg said in a statement on 14th October that Polev was arrested in the city on 13th October.

The police started searching for the street racer after viewing the footage of his reckless driving online.

He was arrested at his residence where police also confiscated his car, a Skoda, which was unlicenced.

Polev was filmed driving a black car with no plates through the streets of Saint Petersburg. It is unclear if this is the same car that they confiscated at his property.

In one clip, he flies over a bridge at an estimated speed of 200 kph (124 mph) before landing on the far side, sending sparks flying as he barely manages to keep control of the speeding vehicle.

The news site Ren added that during his arrest, Polev was extremely calm and even made fun of the cops.

This is allegedly typical behaviour from the ‘Ghost Rider’, who is no stranger to the local authorities. Polev has an extensive criminal history due to his role in organising illegal street races in Siberia, according to reports.
